I missed what happened Steve, but I want you to know that although we've only just begun talking on Twitter, I'm relieved that you are okay. Email me any time if you need to talk.
Steve - You are one of the good guys! Can't believe what could have just happened! You don't realize the affect you have on people. You spread good vibes and deserve that in return. BTW - the bowl you made for Heather is stunning. Take it easy. See you on TWitter xo
Hello Steven... My name is Cst Oliveira I am a police officer in New Westminster.B.C. I am writing to you as your brother Christopher is very concerned about you. I have tried to call your home number and there was no answer..... Would you be willing to talk to me on line
Steven I now we have never met... But I have read some of the Blog Entries... YOu appear to be very loved by a great many people. I see that you are artistic and create wonderful wood projects... Would you please talk to me//
It was really selfish of you to write a cryptic suicide note when you have two children who could easily have found and read this. Also to make everyone worry about you, including strangers like me. I understand that you're going through a hard time, but this whole episode was very inconsiderate to your children and family.
So happy to hear that help arrived and you are safe.
Life has hurdles, some far more painful than others. It is through the help of family and friends (both near and far) that we get over them and keep moving forward.
Hug your children and keep reaching out. This too, will pass.
Life can really beat us down sometimes. And make us believe that things can't get better. But they will, even though that might be hard to believe right at this moment. I am so relieved to hear that you are okay (I'm one of those twitter peeps concerned about you.) Just get through day by day for now and continue to seek out the support you need. Thinking of you, and sending strength.
God bless you, Steve - and your family. Glad to hear you looked for help... life is precious, take baby steps and celebrate each win, no matter how small it is. I'll be thiking of you and praying you get stronger by the moment!
I believe his was a cry for help, maybe it seems selfish to you, but it's one of those moments when we should all follow Thumper's Dad advice: if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all!
Letting you know that I always smile, when I read your posts on facebook. You're one of the good ones. Sometimes taking it one day at a time is still unbareable. Until then, take one minute at a time. Don't look back, don't look further ahead than that. I will thinking of you, and sending positive energy your way. :-) Vicki J
I can only imagine what you are going through, neighbour Steve, but I want to let you know (or remind you) that B and I are here to help you, J, M and Z if you need anything. We are here for you. K♥
As yet another stranger who learned of your blog from Twitter this afternoon, I am heartened by the rapid and heartfelt response your earlier note generated, and I am very glad you're getting the help you need. You do, indeed, create beautiful art, and I know that comes from a beautiful and sensitive soul.
So happy that you're okay and getting help! You have a lot of support, and we're all here for you. Things may not always be easy, but there is always a reason to keep living life. Always. You're an amazing and strong person to come back from that dark place, and you're in my thoughts.
I found out about you through Twitter yesterday. I heard reports that you were OK, and I was very glad to see that you had deleted your "goodbye" post. I hope that, before you did, you read the comments there. Most of them were telling you that there are people who support you, people willing to help, people willing to listen. I am very happy to be able to be typing this to you this morning.
I know you're in a dark place right now. I can only hope that you find some light in your life and live to move toward that light.
Well, let's all chug on over to Mamby Pamby land and keep sugar coating everything. Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. If a person feels that things are so bad that they have to kill themselves, then they have not really grown up and smelled the roses. Life can be tough. For everybody. Not just poor little ol' Steve. And, all this freekin' danged coddling is not going to get the job done. He needs someone to get tough with him and straighten him out. Maybe a decent counselor will do this. Oh, and I am sure there will be a lot of folks out there condemning me for what I just said. Too, bad. Maybe they need to get their noses out of their collective politically correct asses.
I must say, you do have wonderful art! And I am very relieved to hear you are safe :)
